The aroma of this absolute is herbal, sweet, green with some woody, floral notes. It's used as an adjunct in high-quality perfumes.

FYI: There's no steam distillation of violet flowers and there's no essential oil of violets. Do not expect this absolute to smell flowery like violet flowers, it does not. There's no traditional aromatherapy use for this absolute. Some say it’s a mild analgesic, liver decongestant and expectorant. May be helpful with acne, eczema and thread veins. Avoid on sensitive skin. Blends well with citrus and minty oils. Flash point: 176F.
