NOTE: Large quantities/sizes of any product may have to be special ordered. If that's the case, please allow a minimum of 6 business days for a new supply to arrive at our warehouse. Cancellations are not allowed because an item's not in stock. What do we consider large quantities/sizes of our products? Some examples are products classified as bulk, essential and fragrance oils sold in 5+ lbs. and certain quantities of packaging materials.Rose floral wax, 4 oz. Country of origin: India. Botanical Name: Rosa centifolia. Rose floral wax lends a wonderful, light rose aroma to perfumes and creams and lotions. The color varies from batch to batch, it's usually dark yellow.
Floral waxes are plant waxes made from flowers. During production waxes such as beeswax are not added, the resulting wax is a result of separation of the concrete as explained below. Floral waxes are usually produced from delicate flowers in order to retain their fragrance. Steam distillation would destroy the fragile scent molecules.
Freshly picked, carefully selected flower heads are mixed with a solvent to produce a concrete. When mixed with a high proof alcohol and then chilled, the concrete separates into a fragrant liquid and a waxy solid. (To make an absolute, the alcohol is removed from the liquid via evaporation, leaving the absolute.)
Floral waxes are less expensive than absolutes and add emolliency, scent and color to creams and lotions. Recommended use rate is up to 10%. Floral waxes also work very well for scenting lotions; 1 oz. of floral wax is equivalent to about 1/2 oz. of the corresponding absolute.
Floral waxes work well to scent a lotion or other body product, a tiny amount is all that’s needed to scent the complete recipe. Melt the wax over very low heat and add it to your recipe. Floral wax usually constitutes 2% of a final recipe.
Floral wax might be too expensive to use in CP or HP soap, you’d need to use too much to get scent without it getting lost in the process. Large portions of the wax are unsaponifiable, so your soap might actually feel a bit “waxy” by the time you added enough to get a noticeable scent.
Floral waxes can be used to scent a product – it all depends on how strong a scent you want. It’s advisable to keep your floral wax usage to below 10% of the final product weight. Most floral waxes are strongly scented enough that you will have a fair amount of fragrance coming through at that ratio.

I really need to get more of this floral wax very soon! It smells divine! But also works wonders on the hair in a conditioning treatment I developed. The end product is compareable to the expensive Phyto line you can find at Ulta stores, but I have to say mine is much better, cheaper, & chemical free.... Something they cant claim :0) I actually used all the floral waxes in this hair treatment along with some essential oils & other base oils for a pomade type leave in treatment. & as said not only is the scent to die for, but the results are also! A+

Definitely a Rose Scent
Love this scent which I use to make perfume, creams, lotions and shampoo bars.

Purchasing this wax was one of the best decisions that I made...as far as my solid perfumes go. The rose scent of this wax mixed with the essential oils just gives it an extra oomph, as opposed to when I just use the beeswax. I love it.

Oh, my this smells good. The quality was great and the smell is so great! I plan to use this in some CP soap with some other floral scents. This should be a great alternative to the rose essential oil if that is too pricy for you like it is for me.

The scent of this wax is absolutely amazing; it's like a bunch of freshly-cut wild roses. Takes a bit of heat to melt it and keep it melted, but that's fine. Can't wait to order more, and will probably try the other floral waxes while I'm at it, seeing how true-to-name this one's scent is.
