Lavender is one of my favorite oils and I use it for burns, in salves and as a sleep aid (by adding a couple drops to a cotton ball and lacing under my pillow). Awesome price.

Great quality EO for the price
If you're looking for a lavender which smells comparable to French (fine) or Bulgarian lavenders but at a lower price you should consider the Maillette. It's smell is very similar to the previous lavenders mentioned yet more affordable.

I use this lavender oil diluted in a spray bottle with water to mist the air in my house, and it always leaves the rooms smelling great. I also have a cool mist humidifier in my room, and a couple drops of it in there makes for a peaceful night's sleep. In my hair products, it helps to leave my hair moisturized, and I've even seen a nice amount of growth using it on my scalp with jojoba as a carrier oil.

Very fine, delicate, smells like actual Lavender Flowers
I have long been a fan of Camden Grey's 40/42 Lavender essential oil, but recently got curious to try their Bulgaria, French, and Maillette lavenders as well. I summarized my "research" notes in the 40/42 section, but am also submitting reviews in the other lavender sections. Hope this is helpful to you: 40/42 = Both sharp and quintessentially lavender smelling. Bulgaria = Finer than 40/42, but most similar to it in complexity. French = Very fine, soft, even delicate scent. Reminds me most of Lavender flowers on the plant. Less sharp and more herbaceous, it is the most "floral" smelling as well, in my opinion. It is really lovely, but a little dull in comparison to 40/20 and the Bulgarian Lavender oils, as it is the least sharp. Maillette = It is warm and very mild, almost woodsy, very earthy with a little sharpness. Least Lavender-y

This is an excellent lavender oil, I would say that the high altitude lavender is a bit sharper whereas the Maillette is slightly softer with a richer and more nuanced aroma (although both of them are much sharper/bolder than common lavender oils ie 40/42).
