Flax seed oil contains high levels of Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids (linolenic and linoleic) all of which provide numerous health and skin benefits. It is said that these essential fatty acids are vital for various health functions: digestion, brain development, circulation, skin and anti-aging and to combat inflammation. The color of this oil will vary from medium yellow to dark yellow/red, climatic conditions will affect the end color of the oil. Our flax seed oil is cold expeller pressed and is food grade.
Shelf life: This oil has a very short shelf life and should be refrigerated. Shelf life ranges between 4 and 6 months if properly stored. This oil may also be frozen up to 1 year to extend its shelf life, it will not freeze solid.

i can really appreciate that this flax seed oil is food grade. i use it in several products, soap, lotion, butter, or i combine it with other omega 3 & 6 oils. it is noticeably nourishing to the skin. i use it as a vitamin on my own skin.

Flax seed is a wonderful additive to soaps, lotions and any skin care product. I love the conditioning, soothing and healing powers within this oil. It does smell a bit grassy, but that is a small price for then goodness of this oil! The smell can be hidden with essential oils added.
