We do not recommend that you use polystyrene jars for packaging bath salts which contain fragrance or essential oils as these oils may eat away at the jar (use at your own risk). We have found that bath scrubs which include salt or sugar, vegetable oil and either a fragrance or essential oil hold up very well in these jars IF you prepare the mixture first in a large, separate bowl and then pour the finished product into the jar. The finished mix usually allows the vegetable oil to float on top of the scrub. Do not prepare the mixture directly in each jar as this will affect the clarity of the plastic! Included is a smooth white plastic, flat, unlined screw-on lid.
