Rosemary verbenone Ecocert, Cert./Org. Ess. Oil, 1/4 oz. |
Rosemary verbenone Ecocert, Cert./Org. Ess. Oil, (1/4 oz.)
Rosemary verbenone: Rosmarinus officinalis verbenoniferum, steam distilled flowering top/leaf, Corsica (organic). This chemotype of Rosemary shows how populations of a single species can differ in chemical composition. This CT is soft, warm, sweet, and most skin-friendly. Its best known use is as a facial oil for extremely dry skin (combine with carrot seed, lavender, 2% in hazelnut or fractionated coconut oil). The verbenone CT is even more effective at clearing catarrh than Rosemary officinalis. It is less stimulating generally and especially less of a mental stimulant, so it can be used in the evening. It's also used to regulate the hypothalmic, pituitary, and sexual glands (ovaries and testicles). Blends well with basil, bergamot, cedarwood, frankincense, ginger, lemon, orange and peppermint. Flash point: 104°F. (Cannot ship via air or ocean w/o appropriate documentation, cannot ship via postal air services.)

Sandalwood (Australia) essential oil (wildcrafted), 1/8 oz. |
Australian Sandalwood: Santalum spicatum, a native tree of Western Australia, is closely related to the Indian Santalum album and has high levels of active fragrance compounds as well as high levels of anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory properties. The anti-microbial effects of Australian Sandalwood oil are attributed to its contents of farnesol. This compound, which is well known and widely studied, normally constitutes 5-10% of the volatile oil content of Sandalwood oil from Santalum spicatum. Anti-inflammatory properties are credited to the a-bisabolol (5-10% content) which is a counter-inflammatory agent found in high proportions and extracted from this species.
"The Australian Sandalwood produces a very similar oil to Sandalwood Mysore, but with a dry-bitter top note." - excerpted from the book Complete Essential Oils by Julia Lawless. Blends well with basil, black pepper, frankincense, geranium, lavender, lemon, neroli, rose, and vetiver. Flash point: 200°F.
