Good, but does smell.
I guess pure lanolin will smell like sheep's wool, and this is no exception. I'd rather have a more pure, natural product. My mother loves straight lanolin for her lips, and I must say I understand why even if I have a hard time getting over the "flavor." It has some staying power. Excellent quality, very viscous and translucent. Hoping to include in body butter without the smell being too strong, or lip balm. It won't take much, this is powerful stuff to combat winter dryness.
I love buying lanolin from Camden-Grey. This company has the best price for such a marvelous product. My whole family benefits from this product.
This was my first time purchasing lanolin, I want to begin making my own body creams. When I recieved this I rubbed some into my hands and was surprised at how soft they made them. It does have a slight odor but it disapates with time. I can't wait to make my body cream with this. Will be back for more.
I have only used this for my feet. Full strength with socks... amazing! Cannot wait to try it in other products!
new best friend
I ordered this just to test it out and it is just what i needed for my hair products !! does wonders for dry scalp !!!
Great Product For My Hair & Skin
I love Lanolin especially for my hair (naturally curly hair) and skin (extremely dry skin). I ordered Lanolin before (at another site) and it smelled rancid but the Lanolin from Camden-Grey is excellent and I am very satisfied.
The best lanolin I ever used
I used a lot of lanolins in my life time, this is the creamiest and best smelling (naturally, I mean)of all. It is anhydrous, so it should be a good emulsifier. Back in Russia (where I am from) we used to make emulsions only with dry lanolin as an emulsifier. To be frank, I made emulsion with emulsifying wax with an addition of lanolin and some bees wax this time. The cream came out wonderfully silky. And again about smell. Lanolin in US often smells like sheep wool, not to say almost like a sheep... But if it was purified too much it can smell like some synthetic substance. This is none of the above, which is really nice. Thank you, Camden-Grey!
Does just what it should. It has a slight odor to it, but using it in a hyper-emollient lip balm in small quantities, the scent wasn't noticeable.
I use this lanolin to take down my two strand twists..this is the most economically affordable lanolin price I have found. It is pretty expensive in the stores. I love that it is pure and contains no mineral oil or other additives.
Excellent price, great product!
As a mother of 7, I've bought many a tube of Lansinoh (a pure lanolin for moms) while nursing my babies - your lanolin is much less expensive and I can tell no difference in quality. I contemplated buying a tube of the Lansinoh when I needed lanolin for a body butter I was making. It was almost $8 at Walmart for 2 ounces. I believe that's about what I paid for a whole pound of your lovely lanolin! Thanks!
