Great sandalwood substitute
I use this essential oil as a substitute for the other more pricey sandalwood oil. It smells great and blends with so many different other oils. Great for CP soap making.
Great for woody smelling soaps
As the description says, this oil is not a substitute for true Sandalwood oil but its woody notes are similar to Sandalwood even if the warm and soft notes of true Sandalwood are absent. I'm going to try this oil blended with a small amount of Sandalwood oil plus Sandalwood powder in a cp soap and see how it turns out.
Lots of fun!
We use essentials for several things, but primarily the amyris is a hit with my boys as a choice for scent in their homemade lotion.
I've used this amyris essential oil to add it's own scent and properties, as well as a fixative in 2 batches of soap. It has worked out beautifully. It's sweet, and woody, quite a lovely addition, especially in my cedarwood, rosewood, patchouli, and cypress "deodorant" soap. I just love it! It smells so good, and it works well with everything! Thanks Camden Grey!
Smells like sandalwood, but not exactly..
It has quite nice scent. a little similar to sandalwood, but still different. I can only find this EO here. Thanks!!
Yeah it might not replace Sandalwood. BUT it most definitely can stand on it's own. And I'm in love with this oil! Love the smell. And definitely great benefits. Price is great as well. Look forward to using this in a lot more things! Thank you Camden Grey!
I bought this essence in the winter. I liked it very much. Now I want to buy again and I think that it is purchase there will be no last. Aroma very beautiful, calming, proof. Thank you for possibility to get Amyris essential oil at such attractive price.
Very nice oil
I used it to add to a sandalwood soap. Lovely addition. Adds to the formula no need to add so much sandalwood. nice choice to stretch the aroma
A wonderful oil
Amyris smells a bit like sandal, but it's also cedary, with an oily-balsamic tone and underneath there's an earthy, animalic (think valerian) note, especially toward the finish. There's enough complexity for amyris oil not to have to be called a poor man's sandalwood. The scent is relaxing and stands well on its own and has plenty of blending potential with other fragrances. Love the oil and dealing with Camden-Grey makes it even better!
I've re-ordered this oil from you a few times. It's a very big staple in my formulas and the price can't be beat. I just love the subtle sweetness of this oil as well.
I have sampled lots of Amyris and this by far is the least expensive I have seen anywhere. I have ordered this a couple of times here at Camden Grey and will be back for more.
