I use this in my soaps and solid lotion bars have to add more to my lotion bar to over power the coco butter I use. Smells wonderful!

I have never been fond of Cucumber Melon scent, but it's well loved by many. Since trying Camden's brand I must say I am now a lover of Cucumber Melon. I added a dash of Lemongrass and am impressed. It smells crisp and fresh. Thanks Camden.

nice performance

This scent held up nicely in CP, and didn't really accelerate trace for me, I was able to make two different colors in my soap so no problems with it. The scent did tone down a tad, but it is very nice in the soap.

One of my favorites

Excellent for complicated soaps!

I often take out some soap batter before I scent it, to use as contrast, and I've found that most of the soaps with FOs trace more readily than the unscented portions. I was experimenting and wanted the scented potion at heavy trace and the other portion at very early trace and given the other soaper's experience, I thought I'd use this FO. Well, I emulsified the lye and oils and separated out my small portion-perhaps 1/2-1/3 cup. I added the FO and stirred for at least 2 minutes without any signs of trace. I decided to try the stick blender, which I rarely do after scent is added (see above), and blended for 20-30 seconds- still no trace! I let it sit and stirred more and finally got impatient and put it in the mold, barely at light trace. This is so different from my other experiences with FOs! I made two other batches with the same recipe but different FOs and they traced fairly quickly. I don't know why my experience was so different from the other person's. Recipe? temps? The scent is light, slightly sweet, fresh with a hint of muskiness. I made only one batch with this scent, but if it's consistent, I'd say this excels as a scent to use when you want to make a more complicated soap that requires time- multiple colors, swirls, etc... Sorry about the odd numbers but I was making a smaller portion of a recipe I had. The recipe I used was: 2.4 oz Coconut oil 3.6 oz Palm kernel oil 7.3 oz Palm oil 6.1 oz Olive oil 2.4 oz Castor oil 8oz water 3.1 oz lye- then I removed a little until my scale went to 3.0. The lye calculator required 3.08 oz, so... Oils were at 105 degrees and lye at 100 degrees. Please check the recipe in a lye calculator. I added 2 ounces of this cucumber melon FO.

This scent is GREAT

This is one my favorites. I have sold a lot of bath scrubs with this scent, the customers love it. Thank you Camden Grey!

Fragrance for speedy soapers!

It actually smells like cucumber-melon although it will mute a bit in CP - that's a plus. Why 4 stars and not 5? Well, after adding the fragrance to the soap (CP), first it was all right, than, suddenly (and when I say suddenly, I mean SUDDENLY) started to thicken up so quickly, that in about a couple of secs, there was nothing but heavy, thick and hot soap-dough in my pot. Next time I will use more water and forget about the marbling!

Reply from Camden-Grey: At the time we added Cucumber Melon to our FOs, our tester provided us with this report based on her findings: This is a great FO, very, very strong, very clean .....Top notes of sun-ripened cucumber, watermelon, and honeydew. Soft, green, and fresh. Our tester found that in CP and HP there was no discoloration, in M&P this FO tended to settle on the top of the MP....will need extra stirring to incorporate it. Minimal discoloration.

When we received this customers slightly negative report, we sent Cucumber Melon again to our tester in 12/09, this is what she reported at that time: Goat milk M&P: Maybe it's just me, but I think it smells sweeter in GM than in the clear MP or the CP. Strong, didn't discolor and didn't eat plastic, which is very good. Clear M&P: - I think the scent comes out better in MP than in CP. Clear and no discoloration. Ate plastic just a bit. In CP: Cucumber melon did not seize at all - or even accelerate trace - and I used it in two separate samples.
