Multi-layer green juice
I thought this oil would have a strong smell of anis/liquorice, but it’s not really the case. In fact, it’s a rather multi-layer scent. At first it has a strong smell of wet hay and has a little dill-like scent. The texture of the smell (not the oil, but the smell) is very very wet, even soggy. It reminds me of spinach purée (or maybe I’m just biased because of my memory of greek spanakopita made with spinaches and dill!). Anyway, this is the impression that hits me first. The anis/liquorice side stands underneath and becomes more noticeable as the soggy green scent slowly decreases. I find that it’s a complex scent, surely not linear. I’m eager to smell it again and again to find new facets to it.

I bought this a little while ago and am now ready to give my review. This is a great little oil to have on hand. It has worked wonders for tummy upsets as well and just smells so fabulous if you enjoy fennel! A nice oil to add to any collection! And as always top quality from CG! A+
