Decolorized Aloe Vera Freeze Dried Powder 100X may be used in creams and lotions. Aloe is a well known healing and soothing agent for damaged, dry skin; it is soothing and healing for burns, skin irritations and raw open wounds. For application to wounds or burns, please first consult a physician. The 100x decolorized concentrated powder will save you on shipping costs vs. a liquid and occupies less storage space.

This powder is formulated for you to mix whatever amount you need at one time (always mix it right before using, it should not be prepared in advance). To reconstitute this powder, mix 1 oz. of aloe vera powder with 99 oz. distilled water. Mix very well until the aloe powder is no longer visible. This product has a multitude of uses for cosmetics and toiletries. Appearance: Fine crystalline powder. Color: Whitish to light beige, may darken over time.

INCI: Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice (and) Maltodextrin. Maltodextrin allows the powder to flow freely. Country of Origin: US. Store in cool, dry place, tightly sealed. Once reconstituted, product will darken with age. You must add a water-soluble preservative if reconstituted. Shelf life of the powder: 1.5 years. Once mixed with a liquid, this powder will not create a gel.

Aloe Barbadensis Leaf juice 20%, Maltodextrin 79%, Potassium sorbate 0.50%, Sodium Benzoate 0.50%. pH: 3.5-5.0. Guaranteed to contain Polysaccharides. % to use: 15% single strength equivalent minimum for product effectiveness. BSE/TSE-free, GMO-free, pesticide-free, no animal testing.

I mistakenly mixed this with 1 to 49 parts when I first used it as a part of a mix with rhassoul clay for my hair---but no worries, it still came out great as I had used other ingredients also. Next time I will read the info more carefully. I ordered 1 oz and was a little concerned as to how much that would actually be but when I got the shipment I realized that it will last me quite a long time. The powder is light and fluffy and pale in color. Note: when mixing I would either use a bowl that holds much more than the amount you are mixing or a bottle that you can shake it up in as it seems to be slightly hydrophobic and a good shaking or vigorous mixing is best to make sure it is all dissolved. I would have liked very much if the product info had included whether the Aloe mix is acid or alkaline ( but I suppose I can look that up on my own) and more particularly; just how long I can keep it after mixing--a few hours, days, or whatever. I put mine in a bottle in the refrigerator so I'm hoping that it will keep in there for a few days. Overall, I think the Aloe 40x is a good deal---especially if you want to save on shipping weight and you can't afford the very large amount ( or use that much) that C-G sells in it's liquid state.

When I first used it, I was actually surprised that it did not thicken the mixture (and later I noticed that it was in the description). However, it definitely moisturizes my skin and heals problems. My skin almost gets sticky (but not oily of course) when I use a lot of it. Strongly recommended!

An ounce of this lasts forever. A wonderful addition to lotions and salves and I love being able to add aloe to products that are oil based without the need for an emulsifier.

    HOW PRODUCTS ARE DISPENSED...

    BOTTLING/PACKAGING:

Essential oils: Are sold only in the quantities/net weights listed on our website. These oils are shipped to us by the distiller or manufacturer in industry-standard metal or plastic containers and that’s how we ship them to you.

Carrier oils and most other liquids are dispensed in individual HDPE plastic pails or containers with some type of handle, each container holds the purchased net weight of liquid.

Soft butters such as Horsetail and Almond are dispensed in plastic HDPE pails w/metal handles; those butters may remain inside the pails indefinitely when properly stored. Hard butters such as Cocoa are dispensed factory-wrapped in plastic and placed inside a box. Castile Gel is dispensed in a self-contained cubitainer with pouring spout.

NOTE: While the packaging methods mentioned above are generalized, we reserve the right to dispense and ship in any available container. If a customer at any time feels more comfortable transferring an essential or carrier oil to glass, this should be done.

Raw materials/ingredients are sold and dispensed by weight. Many customers ask how many ounces are in a pound, there are 16 ounces in one pound. These are not fluid ounces, they are ounces by weight.

HOW TO STORE: EOs, FOs and BUTTERS should be stored in tightly-sealed containers away from direct light and heat. Some EOs and FOs could be highly flammable, keep away from open flames and from varnished or wood surfaces. Keep all liquids and powders you purchase from Camden-Grey tightly capped and away from the reach of children, the elderly or infirm and pets. Refrigerating butters could adversely affect the consistency of a butter, please join our Forum if you need to learn how to handle, work with and store products.
