    Botanical Name: Citrus reticulata

    Plant Part: Peel

    Country of Origin: Italy

    Method of Extraction: Cold Pressed

Mandarin is a member of the orange family. While tangerine is from the same source, it differs as it is a hybrid of mandarin. This oil is a blend of various all natural mandarin oils.  The price of single mandarin EO has increased considerably; thus, we’ve decided to offer this option.

Mandarin oil is said to be antiseptic, antispasmodic, diuretic and sedative. Its refreshing aroma has an uplifting quality often used to eliminate depression and anxiety.  This oil has a tonic effect on the digestive system, aids the secretion of bile and breaks down fats when used in a light massage and properly diluted in a carrier oil or other carrier. Mandarin oil calms the intestines and relieves flatulence. It's often used in combination with neroli and a carrier oil to prevent stretch marks during pregnancy. Blends well with the chamomile, jasmine, lime, and sandalwood. Flash point: 120°F. (Cannot ship via air or ocean or via postal air services. UN #2319, Group III)

uplifting, sweeter than grapefruit, great smell

This is a great citrus and mixes well with grapefruit and clary sage. The clary sage helps the scent stick a bit. I think the citrus scent isn't quite as strong as grapefruit eo, but I love both. I use it in lotions, hand soap and shampoos (non-lye recipes) so very little is required to get a great, lasting scent in the bottle!
    Good oil

I used this in a CP soap recipe and it has a gentle citrus scent. Not too overpowering so an easy combination oil. It reminds me of the rind of an orange in scent. I would recommend it not only for soaping, but also for using in homemade cleaners, and air freshening infusers.
    Wonderful scent

This oil has a wonderful orange, citrus scent. I blend it with lime oil in melt and pour soaps--great scent, not very strong. It is one to breathe deep; while you might wish for more staying power, this is the kind of scent that is subtle, that makes you yearn for more. It's a great scent for someone that doesn't like strongly scented soaps--clean, refreshing, nostalgic almost.

    HOW PRODUCTS ARE DISPENSED...

    BOTTLING/PACKAGING:

Essential oils: Are sold only in the quantities/net weights listed on our website. These oils are shipped to us by the distiller or manufacturer in industry-standard metal or plastic containers and that’s how we ship them to you.

Carrier oils and most other liquids are dispensed in individual HDPE plastic pails or containers with some type of handle, each container holds the purchased net weight of liquid.

Soft butters such as Horsetail and Almond are dispensed in plastic HDPE pails w/metal handles; those butters may remain inside the pails indefinitely when properly stored. Hard butters such as Cocoa are dispensed factory-wrapped in plastic and placed inside a box. Castile Gel is dispensed in a self-contained cubitainer with pouring spout.

NOTE: While the packaging methods mentioned above are generalized, we reserve the right to dispense and ship in any available container. If a customer at any time feels more comfortable transferring an essential or carrier oil to glass, this should be done.

Raw materials/ingredients are sold and dispensed by weight. Many customers ask how many ounces are in a pound, there are 16 ounces in one pound. These are not fluid ounces, they are ounces by weight.

HOW TO STORE: EOs, FOs and BUTTERS should be stored in tightly-sealed containers away from direct light and heat. Some EOs and FOs could be highly flammable, keep away from open flames and from varnished or wood surfaces. Keep all liquids and powders you purchase from Camden-Grey tightly capped and away from the reach of children, the elderly or infirm and pets. Refrigerating butters could adversely affect the consistency of a butter, please join our Forum if you need to learn how to handle, work with and store products.
