Monoi Butter is a soft, velvety butter containing the essence of the tropical Tiare
flower, famous for its aromatherapy action. The Tiare flower is well known in Polynesia for its exotic tropical essence and use in skin and hair care. The manufacturer has combined that essence into an exclusive exotic butter blend which goes on smooth and retains the Tiare essence on the skin. The melting point of this butter is nominally 42 C, making it ideal as a butter-like balm. If combined into an emulsion for creams and lotions, Monoi Butter will add moisturizing benefits as well as essential aroma aspects to the finished product.
Monoi Butter exhibits excellent spreadability on the skin, making it ideal as a massage butter or carrier for treatment products. It adds moisturizing attributes to creams and lotions and bar soaps. May be used in cosmetics, toiletries, soaps & balms, hair care and sun care preparations.
Suggested uses: Use from 3% to 100% pure (as a butter-like balm). SAP value: 175-200. General information: Soft, off white, solid to partially solid fat depending on ambient temperature. Store in a cool place away from light and heat, tightly sealed. Shelf life: 9 months. All the rave reviews about this butter are spot on. This stuff smells divine, is long lasting, can easily stand alone as a cream perfume, but will blend nicely into lotions and body butters. Like some other reviewers also said, I wish that I would have bought a larger size.

This is one of the truest gardenia scents I've ever smelled. Just a small amount added to a formula, such as a lotion, will give it a very strong scent and will also linger on the skin.

Great scent, a little goes a long way. I personally use a little cause the sent can become over fflorally but if you balance it it's great.

OMGosh!!! Reading all the reviews I couldn't wait to try this and sooo glad I did. As with any of the CG butters I've tried, it is velvety soft and melts quickly to soften and nourish your skin. I've been a nurse for over 30 yrs and we wash our hands so often, you need something more than a lotion with a pretty smell. Well, this is the BOMB! I think it smells like honeysuckle!! which I totally adore, but it also seems to have a few different notes in it, so don't judge it if you think you don't care for honeysuckle. It has a delicate-strong smell, though I say 'strong' guardedly. It's very classy and plain AMAZING. I'm glad I ordered 8 ounces, but will definately be ordering more. It's so good that I'm afraid to add butters or anything to it as the lovely aroma will be watered down, and I'm afraid to add any e.o. or fragrance to it as it's PERFECT--so why ruin it? Please give this a try and I'm certain you too will become a fan.

I was curious about Monoi scent, and am I glad I tried it! It is intoxicating and addictive! I kept opening and smelling and applying the butter so often that I am out of it before I can even use it as a regular body butter or other products that I would have liked to incorporate it in!
Mind you, it is beyond divine on its own so I will have to just get WAY more and leave it as ! Wonderful quality product.

Let me first say that I'm basically NOT the floral scent kinda girl. I mainly purchased this butter for its stated properties for my products and the fact that there were so many rave reviews helped to seal the deal for purchase. This was one of several butters that I got and I have to say that I will be buying more long before I run out of it! I wasn't impressed when I first smelled it out of the container. I blended this butter with several other non scented butters along with other exotic oils and ingredients in a new anti aging formula that I'm working on. Well, I quickly found that the formula isn't suitable for my face, BUT when I made a few adjustments and turned the mixture into a body butter and lotion MAN!!!! Did I have a winner! I let the products marinate during my shower time and opened my new 10 oz. body custard (that's what I call my body butter) and the heavenly scent made my mouth drop and I couldn't believe how wonderful the scent was! Remember now, I'm not the floral lover! Oh yeah, I added a little amber F.O. along with a splash of ruby red grapefruit F.O. to the blend and I tell you I almost couldn't sleep because I all I could do was sniff myself ALL evening! I also made a Monoi butter lotion and I tell you this stuff is great without mixing it with anything else! Okay, I'm going to stop writing now, but I just had to tell you how much I appreciate and enjoy this product! It's a soft exotic scent that can stand alone or be used with other scents. I'm a fan of Camden-Grey's Monoi butter as well as their other quality products! Do yourself a favor and give it a try.

It has the best scent. I simply can't describe it. To top it off, the scent lasted all day long. Literally from sun up to sun down. Simply can't say enough. A little goes a long way!

Here we explain where to locate CofA and SDS for a product, how we dispense and package our products, how products should be stored, basic terminology and the wait time for bulk products to ship from our warehouse. Certificate of Analysis (CofA) and Safety Data Sheet (SDS). We publish on our website those documents for most of our products, some products don't provide either because the product doesn't require it. In this same section where you're at now, look to the tab to the left titled Documents, click on it and that's where you'll find either document for the product you seek. If you do not find the document you require, please email us at customerservice@camdengrey.com so we can research further.
BULK ITEMS: When a customer adds a bulk item to the cart, the customer’s immediately shown on the screen how many number of days should be allowed for the bulk product to arrive at our warehouse. If the bulk item happens to be in stock, we’ll ship sooner than the customer would expect. As we emerge from Covid, logistics operations are not yet back to normal, what used to arrive at our warehouse in 3 days now takes much longer. Should a vendor inform us the ordered product will take longer than what’s mentioned on our website we’ll email the customer with the latest information.

HOW PRODUCTS ARE DISPENSED...
BOTTLING/PACKAGING:
Essential oils: in 1/32 oz. to 1/4 oz...amber glass vials with orifice reducers. ½ oz. to 2 oz...in amber glass bottles with white caps and Eurodroppers...3 to 4 oz. in amber glass bottles with black caps and without orifice reducers...7 oz. in aluminum bottles...15 oz. in amber glass bottles with black caps...10 & 25 lbs. in HDPE plastic containers with wide mouths although, occasionally, 25 lbs. may be dispensed in factory-issued metal containers with pouring spouts.
28 lbs. of carrier oils and other liquids are dispensed in individual HDPE plastic gallon containers with handles, each holds the purchased net weight of liquid.
30+ lbs. of carrier oils, other liquids, soft butters, Castile gel and other products are dispensed in plastic HDPE pails w/metal handles & pouring spouts in the lid; those products may remain inside the pails indefinitely when properly stored. After Covid, we reserve the right to use any packaging/dispensing container available to us and not mentioned above because it continues to be difficult many times to restock the same packaging container or material used in the past.
NOTE: An EO may safely remain inside an aluminum container for up to 3 months, but if storing longer than 3 months the oil should be transferred to amber glass. Fragrances and carrier oils up to 8 lbs. may remain inside HDPE plastic bottles indefinitely. If the customer at any time feels more comfortable transferring a product to glass this should be done. ALL PRODUCTS ARE DISPENSED BY WEIGHT, THUS, SOME CONTAINERS MAY BE FILLED HIGHER THAN OTHERS DEPENDING ON THE WEIGHT AND VISCOSITY OF EACH PRODUCT.
Raw materials/ingredients are dispensed by weight. Many customers ask how many ounces in a pound, there are 16 ounces in one pound. These are not fluid ounces, they are ounces by weight.
HOW TO STORE: EOs, FOs and BUTTERS should be stored in tightly-sealed containers away from direct light and heat. Some EOs could be highly flammable, keep away from open flames. Keep all liquids and powders you purchase from Camden-Grey tightly capped and away from the reach of children, the elderly or infirm and pets. Refrigerating butters could adversely affect the consistency of the butter, please join our Forum if you need to learn how to handle, work with and store products.
