Monoi Butter is a soft, velvety butter containing the essence of the tropical Tiare
flower, famous for its aromatherapy action. The Tiare flower is well known in Polynesia for its exotic tropical essence and use in skin and hair care. The manufacturer has combined that essence into an exclusive exotic butter blend which goes on smooth and retains the Tiare essence on the skin. The melting point of this butter is nominally 42 C, making it ideal as a butter-like balm. If combined into an emulsion for creams and lotions, Monoi Butter will add moisturizing benefits as well as essential aroma aspects to the finished product.
Monoi Butter exhibits excellent spreadability on the skin, making it ideal as a massage butter or carrier for treatment products. It adds moisturizing attributes to creams and lotions and bar soaps. May be used in cosmetics, toiletries, soaps & balms, hair care and sun care preparations.
Suggested uses: Use from 3% to 100% pure (as a butter-like balm). SAP value: 175-200. General information: Soft, off white, solid to partially solid fat depending on ambient temperature. Store in a cool place away from light and heat, tightly sealed. Shelf life: 9 months. INCI: Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil (and) hydrogenated non-gmo soybean oil (and) Coconut (Cocos nucifera) oil (and) Tiare (Gardenia tahitensis) flower (and) fragrance.

I can not say enough about this monoi butter. Besides the smell being absolutely divine, I love the texture of it. It is rich and creamy. A little goes a long way. My husband has very dry skin and when I applied it to his skin, I could see the difference in his skin right away. I am definitely going to use this product as one of my staples.

I ordered this on a whim, just wanting to try a new body butter but WOW what a wonderful surprise when I opened the container and this incredible scent unfolded. The properties of the butter for hair and skin are great but by far the most alluring attribute of this product is its scent!

I read the reviews prior to purchasing this product. I'm not really into feminine scents. I took Lisha's comments concerning how great it does on her hair. I too, wanted to capture the powerful ingredient in CD's Monoi line. I was not disappointed. I haven't used the butter on my entire head, only around my hair line. I goes on smooth and is very moisturizing! I plan to mix it with my new favorite butter, horsetail, and see how my hair reacts.

I bought this monoi butter as it was listed as the main ingredient in Carol's daughter's monoi line. I wanted something that would moisturize my hair and soften/detangle my thick, curly hair. THIS DID EVERYTHING AND MORE. It's amazing for skin and hair. My hair is EXTREMELY moisturized and my curls are soft and I didn't even need to detangle after adding this to my deep conditioner ( I also used a little of the babusu oil that I bought from Camden Grey). I though the 1Lb container was enough but I will definitely be back to buy more. It's become a staple in my curly hair routine! Highly recommended!

OMG!!! that butter is lovely, has a nice scent to it not over-powering!!! I did a hand/body/hair concoction which came out beautiful. This butter in my opinion deserves a 5 star. You will not regret one bit if you order it. This butter will be my utlimate choice in Camden-Grey.

I love this butter on my skin for it apply so easily, it is also light on my natural hair which I like. The smell is subtle but very pleasing to the nose.

Camden-Grey why do you not have a 10 star button? This oil deserves it!
I have been using this for approximately one month consistently and have not had any of the problems with dry flaky skin that I was having before. My skin looks shiny and healthy! The smell is divine. . . kind of a cross between jasmine, gardenia and maybe a bit of honeysuckle but it is not overpowering. Usually heavy gardenia or honeysuckle smells give me an instant headache and this does no such thing! I get compliments about how good I smell almost everyday! It is also very reasonably priced as a little bit goes a long way. I find it best to put it on fresh out of the shower for best spread-ability and overall body coverage. I have also put a bit in my super curly hair and it made it feel very soft! I WILL be ordering this again!

I simply love this butter!!!! When combined with other butters it can make the hair and skin super soft and shiny without the greasy build up of some butter/oil combinations. I have been buying this butter for a while and I still love it like the first time I bought it.

Here we explain where to locate CofA and SDS for a product, how we dispense and package our products, how products should be stored, basic terminology and the wait time for bulk products to ship from our warehouse. FYI: We're closed on Fridays.
Certificate of Analysis (CofA) and Safety Data Sheet (SDS). We publish on our website those documents for most of our products, some products don't provide either because the product doesn't require it. In this same section where you're at now, look to the tab to the left titled Documents, click on it and that's where you'll find either document for the product you seek. If you do not find the document you require, please email us at customerservice@camdengrey.com so we can research further.
BULK ITEMS: When a customer adds a bulk item to the cart, the customer’s immediately shown on the screen how many number of days should be allowed for the bulk product to arrive at our warehouse. If the bulk item happens to be in stock, we’ll ship sooner than the customer would expect. As we emerge from Covid, logistics operations are not yet back to normal, what used to arrive at our warehouse in 3 days now takes much longer. Should a vendor inform us the ordered product will take longer than what’s mentioned on our website we’ll email the customer with the latest information.

HOW PRODUCTS ARE DISPENSED...
BOTTLING/PACKAGING:
Essential oils: in 1/32 oz. to 1/4 oz...amber glass vials with orifice reducers. ½ oz. to 2 oz...in amber glass bottles with white caps and Eurodroppers...3 to 4 oz. in amber glass bottles with black caps and without orifice reducers...7 oz. in aluminum bottles...15 oz. in amber glass bottles with black caps...10 & 25 lbs. in HDPE plastic containers with wide mouths although, occasionally, 25 lbs. may be dispensed in factory-issued metal containers with pouring spouts.
28 lbs. of carrier oils and other liquids are dispensed in individual HDPE plastic gallon containers with handles, each holds the purchased net weight of liquid.
30+ lbs. of carrier oils, other liquids, soft butters, Castile gel and other products are dispensed in plastic HDPE pails w/metal handles & pouring spouts in the lid; those products may remain inside the pails indefinitely when properly stored. After Covid, we reserve the right to use any packaging/dispensing container available to us and not mentioned above because it continues to be difficult many times to restock the same packaging container or material used in the past.
NOTE: An EO may safely remain inside an aluminum container for up to 3 months, but if storing longer than 3 months the oil should be transferred to amber glass. Fragrances and carrier oils up to 8 lbs. may remain inside HDPE plastic bottles indefinitely. If the customer at any time feels more comfortable transferring a product to glass this should be done. ALL PRODUCTS ARE DISPENSED BY WEIGHT, THUS, SOME CONTAINERS MAY BE FILLED HIGHER THAN OTHERS DEPENDING ON THE WEIGHT AND VISCOSITY OF EACH PRODUCT.
Raw materials/ingredients are dispensed by weight. Many customers ask how many ounces in a pound, there are 16 ounces in one pound. These are not fluid ounces, they are ounces by weight.
HOW TO STORE: EOs, FOs and BUTTERS should be stored in tightly-sealed containers away from direct light and heat. Some EOs could be highly flammable, keep away from open flames. Keep all liquids and powders you purchase from Camden-Grey tightly capped and away from the reach of children, the elderly or infirm and pets.
