    Purchase Peppermint essential oil (India)

    Botanical Name: Mentha piperita

    Plant Part: Leaf

    Country of Origin: India

    Method of Extraction: Steam Distillation

The aroma of this essential oil is strongly piercing, refreshing, minty and very herbaceous. Among its properties are: Cooling, analgesic, antispasmodic, anesthetic, decongestant, emmenagogue, expectorant, febrifuge, insecticide and stimulant. Should be kept away from eyes, likely to irritate skin and mucous membranes. Best avoided by pregnant women and nursing mothers as it could discourage flow of milk. May antidote homeopathic remedies.

Helps people become clear headed and refreshes the spirits. Helpful for people who are unable to concentrate or who have mental fatigue. Said to relieve states of anger, hysteria and nervous trembling, excellent for depression.

On the body, it has a dual action: cooling when hot and warming when cold. As a remedy for colds, it halts mucous and fevers and encourages perspiration. Extremely important for its effect on the digestive system (1 drop on a sugar cube or on a teaspoon of honey).

This EO has a slightly anesthetic effect on stomach muscles. Good for travel sickness, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, colic, nausea and to keep drivers alert while on the road. Its cooling and pain relieving action seems to ease headaches, migraines and toothaches. Used in liniments for the relief of muscle pain, lumbago, bruises, joint pain and insect bites. Can be used to relieve any kind of skin irritation or itching but should be used in a dilution of 1% or less or the irritation could be made worse. Not much liked by insects and vermin, great for getting rid of ants and rodents. Blends well with cedarwood, cypress, lavender, niaouli and pine. Flash point: 151 deg.F.

Cannot ship via air/ocean, UN #3082, Class 9, Pkg. Grp. 3. Flash point: 77C. (PR.Rev090523-218PM)

This is a strong one. I don't think you need to use a lot of this to be effective.
Smells so good you'll want to eat it!

This stuff is fantastic. I've used it as a sinus clearer, in lip scrub, tea, and my most recent experiment...toothpaste. It turned out great. A little goes a looong way. A great buy.

Very strong essential oil, it is refreshing and energizing. It makes skin tingle a bit, so use carefully with sensitive skin types. A must have indeed.
    Smells like peppermint candy

Smells great. Nice and strong, but not overwhelming. No medicinal smell to it. Smells pretty much like the peppermint candies. Pricing is pretty much in line with fragrance oils, when you consider usage rating. Doesn't accelerate or discolor CP soaps. Seems to actually slow trace slightly. Definitely worth purchasing.
    Peppermint Candy cane!

This to me smells like a Christmas Peppermint candy cane! I read a comment below saying Crisp and Minty and really you can't describe it better than that!

I received this today and tried it out in a batch of HP soap. It worked well and smells great. I will reorder this peppermint because it is nice and strong and a great price.

This Peppermint Oil is one of the finest we've tried! It has a clean, sort of a sweetish scent. We use it in our Pocket Inhalers, Home-made Laundry Soap, Bath M&P Soaps and Whipped Shea Butter. Thanks Camden Grey, you've come through again as usual!
    Crisp & minty!

Love this oil! Great benefits! Works for my scalp & hair. Mainly for my skin I use this in my scrubs. Next I will try in lip balm. Helps with stomach aches, nausea. Even helped me when I ate too much, didn't give me much of over fullness after. Definitely great to use for alertness. Helped with my toothache as well. Oh yeah only tried France and India version so far. And France has more of a sweetness to me. But both are great!
    Great Oil

I was not a fan of Peppermint but this oil has won me over. I only purchased 1 ounce, but it is totally worth the money. Like I said I was not a fan, but it is hard for anyone not to like this EO. It blends well and has an authentic full Peppermint scent, a little goes a long way.

    HOW PRODUCTS ARE DISPENSED...

    BOTTLING/PACKAGING:

Essential oils: Are sold only in the quantities/net weights listed on our website. These oils are shipped to us by the distiller or manufacturer in industry-standard metal or plastic containers and that’s how we ship them to you.

Carrier oils and most other liquids are dispensed in individual HDPE plastic pails or containers with some type of handle, each container holds the purchased net weight of liquid.

Soft butters such as Horsetail and Almond are dispensed in plastic HDPE pails w/metal handles; those butters may remain inside the pails indefinitely when properly stored. Hard butters such as Cocoa are dispensed factory-wrapped in plastic and placed inside a box. Castile Gel is dispensed in a self-contained cubitainer with pouring spout.

NOTE: While the packaging methods mentioned above are generalized, we reserve the right to dispense and ship in any available container. If a customer at any time feels more comfortable transferring an essential or carrier oil to glass, this should be done.

Raw materials/ingredients are sold and dispensed by weight. Many customers ask how many ounces are in a pound, there are 16 ounces in one pound. These are not fluid ounces, they are ounces by weight.

HOW TO STORE: EOs, FOs and BUTTERS should be stored in tightly-sealed containers away from direct light and heat. Some EOs and FOs could be highly flammable, keep away from open flames and from varnished or wood surfaces. Keep all liquids and powders you purchase from Camden-Grey tightly capped and away from the reach of children, the elderly or infirm and pets. Refrigerating butters could adversely affect the consistency of a butter, please join our Forum if you need to learn how to handle, work with and store products.
