    Purchase Peppermint essential oil (Yakima)

    Botanical Name: Mentha piperita

    Plant Part: Leaf

    Country of Origin: USA

    Method of Extraction: Steam Distillation

    This oil is distilled from peppermint grown in Yakima, Washington, one of the highest quality peppermint oils found in the marketplace.

    Its aroma is refreshing, minty and very herbaceous. Among its known properties are: Cooling, analgesic, antispasmodic, anesthetic, decongestant, emmenagogue, expectorant, febrifuge, insecticide and stimulant. Should be kept away from eyes, likely to irritate skin and mucous membranes. Best avoided by pregnant women and nursing mothers as it could discourage flow of milk. May antidote homeopathic remedies.

    Helps people become clear headed and refreshes the spirit. Helpful for people who are unable to concentrate or who have mental fatigue. Said to relieve states of anger, hysteria and nervous trembling, excellent for depression.

    On the body, it has a dual action....cooling when hot and warming when cold. As a remedy for colds, it halts mucous and fevers and encourages perspiration. Extremely important for its effect on the digestive system (some users recommend 1 drop on a sugar cube or on a teaspoon of honey).

    Has a slightly anesthetic effect on stomach muscles. Good for travel sickness, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, colic, nausea and to keep drivers alert while on the road. Its cooling and pain relieving action seems to ease headaches, migraines and toothaches. Used in liniments for the relief of muscle pain, lumbago, bruises, joint pain and insect bites. Can be used to relieve any kind of skin irritation or itching but should be used in a dilution of 1% or less or the irritation could be made worse. Not much liked by insects and vermin, great for getting rid of ants and rodents. Blends well with cedarwood, cypress, lavender, niaouli and pine. Flash point: 151 F. OK to ship via air or ocean.

    We have been purchasing from Camden Grey since 1999. It is our go to company for essential oils. This peppermint is wonderful and the peppermint that started our company.
    Wow. This is the best peppermint I've ever bought.

    The quality of this oil is noticeably superior to other brands I've bought. One drop of this is stronger and the scent is pure, delightful peppermint. Don't breathe too deep on your first sniff--you might burn your nose! It is truly delightful. You don't even need a diffuser for it--just put one drop in a cup of hot water while you're working in the kitchen. Wonderful! This is worth buying again and again.
    Love this Peppermint

    I love this essential oil, it smells so good. I also love that it is grown in my home state. A little goes a long way with this one. My customers love it.

    Very minty, strong, top shelf. The folks over in Yakima make great wine and apparently peppermint too. I use this for my mouthwash and breath sprays. I will be buying quite a bit more of this one while it lasts.

    I Loove this essential oil. I am a fan of all the peppermint, but this one end up being my favorite out of all of them. Probably because this has a sweeter peppermint taste and smell then the others. However it is still just as sharp and strong as the others! I use this on my hair, for circulation and a cleaner feel for my scalp. Between oil treatment, shampoo, conditioner. It has saved me many times for stomach aches I had, (TMI) but even for cramps and other personal women things. Helps when I feel I over ate. A little goes a long way! Seriously! I even feel this helps for acne too, at least it was an addition with my other essential oils that I use for my face for acne and didn't have any problems. Will continue to buy, obviously :-).
    My favorite peppermint

    Peppermint is my favorite EO and this one is superb! Strong, green, minty with just a tad of the candy cane smell people love so much. A top quality oil at a great price. Thanks Camden!

    This peppermint oil is a little sweeter than others I've encountered, which is nice. It doesn't burn your nose like some tend to do. We use it as air freshener and as a winter house fragrance. It WILL leave a strong cold-burning sensation if it gets on your skin, so be careful!
    smooth and minty

    The fragrance of this Peppermint EO is smooth and complex. It has a wonderful fresh fragrance which is perfect to pair with other oils. It is strong, and a little goes a long way. This is a very natural, earthy mint fragrance with many different tones, making it a more sophisticated scent. This is not your Christmas Candy smell. It is much more beautiful!

    Thanks for browsing thru this section which contains answers to many questions that are often asked of us. Here we explain where to locate CofA and SDS for a product, how we dispense and package our products, how products should be stored, basic terminology and the wait time for bulk products to ship from our warehouse. FYI: We're closed on Fridays.

    Certificate of Analysis (CofA) and Safety Data Sheet (SDS). We publish on our website those documents for most of our products, some products don't provide either because the product doesn't require it. In this same section where you're at now, look to the tab to the left titled Documents, click on it and that's where you'll find either document for the product you seek. If you do not find the document you require, please email us at customerservice@camdengrey.com so we can research further.

    BULK ITEMS: When a customer adds a bulk item to the cart, the customer’s immediately shown on the screen how many number of days should be allowed for the bulk product to arrive at our warehouse. If the bulk item happens to be in stock, we’ll ship sooner than the customer would expect. As we emerge from Covid, logistics operations are not yet back to normal, what used to arrive at our warehouse in 3 days now takes much longer. Should a vendor inform us the ordered product will take longer than what’s mentioned on our website we’ll email the customer with the latest information.

    TERMINOLOGY:

    EO = essential oil

    FO = fragrance oil

    HOW PRODUCTS ARE DISPENSED...

    BOTTLING/PACKAGING:

    Essential oils: in 1/32 oz. to 1/4 oz...amber glass vials with orifice reducers. ½ oz. to 2 oz...in amber glass bottles with white caps and Eurodroppers...3 to 4 oz. in amber glass bottles with black caps and without orifice reducers...7 oz. in aluminum bottles...15 oz. in amber glass bottles with black caps...10 & 25 lbs. in HDPE plastic containers with wide mouths although, occasionally, 25 lbs. may be dispensed in factory-issued metal containers with pouring spouts.

    28 lbs. of carrier oils and other liquids are dispensed in individual HDPE plastic gallon containers with handles, each holds the purchased net weight of liquid.

    30+ lbs. of carrier oils, other liquids, soft butters, Castile gel and other products are dispensed in plastic HDPE pails w/metal handles & pouring spouts in the lid; those products may remain inside the pails indefinitely when properly stored. After Covid, we reserve the right to use any packaging/dispensing container available to us and not mentioned above because it continues to be difficult many times to restock the same packaging container or material used in the past.

    NOTE: An EO may safely remain inside an aluminum container for up to 3 months, but if storing longer than 3 months the oil should be transferred to amber glass. Fragrances and carrier oils up to 8 lbs. may remain inside HDPE plastic bottles indefinitely. If the customer at any time feels more comfortable transferring a product to glass this should be done. ALL PRODUCTS ARE DISPENSED BY WEIGHT, THUS, SOME CONTAINERS MAY BE FILLED HIGHER THAN OTHERS DEPENDING ON THE WEIGHT AND VISCOSITY OF EACH PRODUCT.

    Raw materials/ingredients are dispensed by weight. Many customers ask how many ounces in a pound, there are 16 ounces in one pound. These are not fluid ounces, they are ounces by weight.

    HOW TO STORE: EOs, FOs and BUTTERS should be stored in tightly-sealed containers away from direct light and heat. Some EOs could be highly flammable, keep away from open flames. Keep all liquids and powders you purchase from Camden-Grey tightly capped and away from the reach of children, the elderly or infirm and pets. Refrigerating butters could adversely affect the consistency of the butter, please join our Forum if you need to learn how to handle, work with and store products.
