Violet leaf absolute ^
The aroma of this absolute is herbal, sweet, green with some woody, floral notes. It's used as an adjunct in high-quality perfumes.
FYI: There's no steam distillation of violet flowers and there's no essential oil of violets. Do not expect this absolute to smell flowery like violet flowers, it does not. There's no traditional aromatherapy use for this absolute. Some say it is a mild analgesic, liver decongestant and expectorant. May be helpful with acne, eczema and thread veins. Avoid on sensitive skin. Blends well with citrus and minty oils. Flash point: 176F.
(Viola odorata, solvent extracted leaf)

The best Violet Leaf out there!
I have ordered from different companies and for some reason this one is softer and blends better in my perfumes. This is less $$ so I would not have expected that.

Very different and wonderful
I didn't know what to expect really. I just have really enjoyed the Lavender absolute a lot so I figured I'd try this one! It is as others describe very green with a very interesting deeper something! I actually made a perfume adding other E.O's for myself because I found myself so intrigued by the deepness of this scent. I read that it may be good for skin conditions as well...

A LOVELY UNIQUE SPRINGTIME SCENT
Very difficult to describe the quality of this scent to customers- while it does not have the floral quality that some people may expect from having exposure to synthetic violet oils, customers are enjoying the herbaceous green note of this violet leaf absolute in my products.

This is a very fresh "green" scent. It's delicious, really. I cannot help but yearn for spring when I experience this violet leaf aroma. It is definitely not floral, nor is it much akin to the crisper green fragrance of cut grass. This is a soft, dew-like, garden green. I look forward to using it in a blend!

This is the smell of the color green. Not as fresh as spring grass, more like a very wet, dewy green, if that makes sense. No violet scent whatsoever since it's made from the leaf and not the flower. Very good quality.

HOW OILS ARE DISPENSED: All our products are dispensed by weight. EO's in 8 oz. through 2 lbs. - amber plastic pharmaceutical-grade bottle. EO's in 5 and 10 lbs. - heavy duty plastic container w/pouring spout, the oil may remain inside the container at least 2 months. EO's in sizes of 25+ lbs. - industry-standard metal or plastic can with a pouring spout, the oil may remain inside the metal can indefinitely and up to 2 months in the plastic pail. It's our decision in which type of pail we dispense the product, metal cans are not readily available. CARRIER OILS - plastic bottles/pails depending on the size ordered, do not need to be transferred to glass unless you wish to do so. FO's - in plastic containers, contents do not need to be transferred to glass unless you wish to do so.
Essential oils in sizes from ½ oz. to 4 oz. are dispensed in amber glass bottles without orifice reducers or glass droppers. If we ever run out of amber glass bottles, we reserve the right to use any other glass bottle available at that time. The only sizes of EO's dispensed with orifice reducers are 1/32, 1/16, 1/8 and 1/4 oz. sizes. If you require bottles/vials with orifice reducers or Eurodroppers, we sell those separately.
HOW TO STORE: Upon receipt, EO's dispensed in plastic bottles MUST be transferred into amber glass bottles. EO's, FO's and BUTTERS should be stored in tightly-sealed containers away from direct light and heat. Many oils could be highly flammable, keep away from open flames. Refrigerating butters could adversely affect the consistency of the butter, please join our Forum if you need to learn how to handle and store products.
