Sold by weight. Calendula (Calendula officinalis), organic, whole flower, Egypt. Also known as Maravilla, Souci, Pot Marigold, Golds and Ruddles. The carotenoid-rich yellow to orange petals of this annual daisy were once used to color butter, cheeses, and custards, to thicken soups, to add a pleasant, spicy taste to salads, and to substitute for expensive imported saffron. The petals also yield a dye for fabric, hair or toiletries.
Wide-ranging medicinal claims have been made for its petals, but little research has tested these assertions. The petals have been found to be anti-inflammatory, however. Carotenoids provide the distinct yellow to orange of the petals (beta-carotene, lycopene, violaxanthin and lutein). The petals can be used whole or cut in toiletries such as scrubs, soaps or bath salts.
The infused oil is highly recommended for dry, mature skin as well as for skin sores, diaper rash and sunburn. These flowers can be used with infused oil to make calendula creams and washes. It can be used to disinfect minor wounds and to treat infections of the skin. Also, it treated my slow-healing cut I had last week and therefore minimized the scarring of my cut.

Ordered a 4oz of flowers, and it was a lot more than I was anticipating! Came in a double-bagged ziploc bag, and the flowers feel fresh and smelled fairly strong (good thing). Made an infusion and tincture out of them, and both worked perfectly. Has a warm, woody, and lightly flowery aroma.

I had problems with a different supplier before (herb came infested with bugs), so I switched to Camden Grey because I'm already using them for other ingredients and am always very happy. The herb arrived in flawless, perfect quality!

The calendula arrived double-bagged (good thing, I ripped the inside bag when I pulled on the tape!) Nice clean yellow color with a freshly dried smell. Excellent quality.

BULK ITEMS: When a customer adds a bulk item to the cart, the customer’s immediately shown on the screen how many number of days should be allowed for the bulk product to arrive at our location with the minimum being 12 business days counting from the business day after the customer placed the order on our site.

HOW PRODUCTS ARE DISPENSED...
BOTTLING/PACKAGING:
Essential oils: Are sold only in the quantities/net weights listed on our website. These oils are shipped to us by the distiller or manufacturer in industry-standard metal or plastic containers and that’s how we ship them to you.
Carrier oils and most other liquids are dispensed in individual HDPE plastic pails or containers with some type of handle, each container holds the purchased net weight of liquid.
Soft butters such as Horsetail and Almond are dispensed in plastic HDPE pails w/metal handles; those butters may remain inside the pails indefinitely when properly stored. Hard butters such as Cocoa are dispensed factory-wrapped in plastic and placed inside a box. Castile Gel is dispensed in a self-contained cubitainer with pouring spout.
NOTE: While the packaging methods mentioned above are generalized, we reserve the right to dispense and ship in any available container. If a customer at any time feels more comfortable transferring an essential or carrier oil to glass, this should be done.
Raw materials/ingredients are sold and dispensed by weight. Many customers ask how many ounces are in a pound, there are 16 ounces in one pound. These are not fluid ounces, they are ounces by weight.
HOW TO STORE: EOs, FOs and BUTTERS should be stored in tightly-sealed containers away from direct light and heat. Some EOs and FOs could be highly flammable, keep away from open flames and from varnished or wood surfaces. Keep all liquids and powders you purchase from Camden-Grey tightly capped and away from the reach of children, the elderly or infirm and pets.
