Great for pain and inflamation
I use this for pain and inflammation on my joints. helichrysum G is better for inflammation and smells more camphor like. I use the Italicaum for sin issues and healing sores that are hard to heal. It also smells heavenly!
Affordable for something so amazing!!
Very nice mild peppermint/fresh mint like scent. I mix this with clove, wintergreen, peppermint and copaiba and magnesium oil in shealo butter for an inflammation and pain reducer for my degenerative disc disease.
I bought this oil to make a massage oil with the addition of various carriers for family members who suffer from varicose veins, and so far, it has worked beautifully. I will experiment with it in a skin serum.
I wanted to give this type of helichrysum a try as an alternative to the much hailed and much more expensive "italicum" variety. And I am not sorry I did. As a previous reviewer commented, this is a wonderful remedy for varicose vein treatment. Mixing it with a carrier oil (I used almond) will yield an effective treatment for the discomfort associated with "spider vein" condition.
I had to get this oil and give it a try when I saw it in CG lineup! And I have no regrets! I pulled this oil out and used it when a virus struck along with rosewood, ravensara, and a few other things and WOW! What a powerful blend. This oil is great as a stand alone, or used in a blend. I will be trying it on clients varicose veins to see if it helps relieve the pain that these can cause! Highly recommend!
Powerful essential oil
Besides the affordable price. This is a miracle essential oil. Many uses for healing. Love the aroma. A must have for anyone's medicine cabinet.
I didn't imagine helichrysum gymnocephalum essential oil would would have such a beautiful scent. I ordered it for it's aromatherapy, healing, properties. I am so glad I did; I just love it! To me, first out of the bottle, it smells very much like vapor rub for a chest cold. That odor quickly dissipates, and is replaced with a lovely sweet, floral, maybe haylike, and honey, yes, slightly spicey. Oh it's delicious! I keep applying it to my wrists and sniffing it, all day! I can't stop! I've done this every day since I recieved it, which was a week ago now. Oh, so yummy! I also used it in a blend that I slather all over my body for pain. When I first mixed the oils I couldn't figure out where the floral scent was coming from, as I hadn't properly tested this one's scent. It is a wonderful addition to my pain blend as well as my oil collection. I will never be without this one; and really appriciate the fantastic price! Thank you Camden Grey!
WONDERFUL PRICE FOR A HELICHRYSUM
A great way to add your your aromatherapy apothecary without breaking the bank. This is a more medicinal than sweet helichrysum and while I would not use this oil for an immortelle perfume blend it is perfectly well suited for aroma-therapeutic purposes - a bargain, truly!
Not bad for the price
The italicum is more expensive for a reason. The odor is more terpenic and less delicate than what I've encountered of the other variety, and it seems perhaps more suited to aromatherapy than perfumery. However, it still has some of the floral/sweet characteristics of its pricier cousin, and I'm glad to have the opportunity to try this oil.
a must have essential oil
Three years ago, I was cutting up some while game. I kept my knife sharp, but didn't clean it. I had been working about 4 hours when something was falling off the table. I reached out to grab it, but instead I grabbed my knife with my left hand and cut my little finger almost to the bone. I washed it out and and started putting drops of Helichrysum Gymnocephalum on the cut. The pain was immediately relieved and the bleeding was stopped. This was a Friday night. I continued to use the Helichrysum Gymnocephalum along with Geranium, Lavender, Tea Tree and Manderin Red throughout the weekend. I carefully watched the cut to make sure there was no infection setting in. Monday I had to do chair massages. I showed my cut to my sister, who couldn't believe how good the finger looked. It looked like it was an injury that had happened over a 10 days ago, not three. The scar that I have on my little finger is a straight line the width of the finger and looks like I had a great doctor. I blend the helichrysum gymnocephalum with equal parts of juniper and have clients report that this helps the ringing in their ears, reduces pain and pressure from congestion and has improved hearing. I highly recommend that this oil be included in first aide kits as must have to stop bleeding, to fight infection and to reduce pain.
