Polyvalent oil that brings life to my perfume compositions.

Tarragon essential oil is herbaceous, penetrating and fresh. I find it very polyvalent for my perfume compositions. On one side, it reminds me the smell of real lavender leaves, with its velvety herbaceous scent – so it has the advantage of the smell of lavender without the eucalyptus-like smell that lavender essential oil has at first sniff. And on the other side, it has an anise/liquorice smell the makes it very recognizable – though here the anise/liquorice side is rather mellow and not too heavy. It is a shimmering scent in a good way and brings life to my natural perfume compositions. I like it very much.
    Warm and velvety.

This vetiver is really beautiful. It’s rich and noble and luxurious. The oil has a rather thick consistency, with a deep dark yellow colour. The feeling is warm and velvety, with earthy, leathery, smoky and somewhat peppery sides. I imagine a sensual woman with a slightly hoarse voice talking to me in a cozy atmosphere.
    Multi-layer green juice

I thought this oil would have a strong smell of anis/liquorice, but it’s not really the case. In fact, it’s a rather multi-layer scent. At first it has a strong smell of wet hay and has a little dill-like scent. The texture of the smell (not the oil, but the smell) is very very wet, even soggy. It reminds me of spinach purée (or maybe I’m just biased because of my memory of greek spanakopita made with spinaches and dill!). Anyway, this is the impression that hits me first. The anis/liquorice side stands underneath and becomes more noticeable as the soggy green scent slowly decreases. I find that it’s a complex scent, surely not linear. I’m eager to smell it again and again to find new facets to it.
    Exotic and erotic.

This absolute has a heavy floral scent. Very indolic at first; hot and heady. On the other side, it’s also soft and velvety. When smelling at it, I feel a sultry and raunchy atmosphere, such as when the sun is too hot and your skin gets wet. It has a musky, almost sexual smell that induces a euphoriant effect. It’s deep and exciting. I love it.
Sublte, use more than you think!

A very nice EO based fragrance that increases in intensity as CP soap dries. I used 1.75 oz per lb and did not smell a thing after 3 weeks curing time; after 6 weeks curing the scent came back and is delicate, sweet, herbaly, and makes you feel cozy, relaxed. I really like the smell. I do wish the scent strength was about double, however.
This Butter Smells Like Cough Drops!!!

I am really rating this butter 3.5 stars because I am really disappointed in how this butter smells! To me it smells like lemon cough drops (Uggh!) and not the fresh scent that I was hoping for like their orange butter which is AMAZING! My husband loves the smell though. . . Go figure :) I do love the properties of this butter though. It worked well in my acne balm, but I'm on the fence on purchasing this again because of the scent.
Smells like a really sweet treat

The scent is not vanilla bean. It is very sweet like baked goods. I combined it with orange for a dreamsicle in a lotion and later your skin smells like frosting or something really yummy with a hint of the orange. I combined 1oz vanilla lace with 1oz of this in CP and it made little brown dots in the soap before unmolding. The vanilla lace has never done this so I assume it was this fragrance. The color of the soap after 24 hours is a light light tan, instead of the traditional yellow I see. I haven't tried it by itself in CP, but it seems just fine in the lotion I made, so another attempt will have to be made in a small test batch.
    Pretty Good

I didn't really know what to expect with this fragrance oil, but I think it smells pretty good, it is a little sweet for my personal tastes, but works great in lotions and body products.
    Nice selection

When this sample pack arrived at my door, I felt it was like Christmas! I loved testing each of the different types of butters. I was able to mix it with other oils in a 500g test batch of soap, which turned out wonderfully. For those interested in purity, many of the butters are mixes, which is to be expected when a butter isn't the product's natural form. Camden-Grey uses pretty decent quality oils as a base. If you want to know what a specific butter uses as a base, check the individual listing. Camden-Grey is very good about listing all of their ingredients. (Which is important in soapmaking, and for those with allergies) Overall, I was pretty pleased with this sample pack.
    Good for face

I ordered a small size to try and it worked really well in a face balm. I mixed it with cupuacu butter, shea butter and grapeseed oil to make a face balm. It worked great for my sensitive skin and my nieces acne ridden skin.

    HOW PRODUCTS ARE DISPENSED...

    BOTTLING/PACKAGING:

Essential oils: Are sold only in the quantities/net weights listed on our website. These oils are shipped to us by the distiller or manufacturer in industry-standard metal or plastic containers and that’s how we ship them to you.

Carrier oils and most other liquids are dispensed in individual HDPE plastic pails or containers with some type of handle, each container holds the purchased net weight of liquid.

Soft butters such as Horsetail and Almond are dispensed in plastic HDPE pails w/metal handles; those butters may remain inside the pails indefinitely when properly stored. Hard butters such as Cocoa are dispensed factory-wrapped in plastic and placed inside a box. Castile Gel is dispensed in a self-contained cubitainer with pouring spout.

NOTE: While the packaging methods mentioned above are generalized, we reserve the right to dispense and ship in any available container. If a customer at any time feels more comfortable transferring an essential or carrier oil to glass, this should be done.

Raw materials/ingredients are sold and dispensed by weight. Many customers ask how many ounces are in a pound, there are 16 ounces in one pound. These are not fluid ounces, they are ounces by weight.

HOW TO STORE: EOs, FOs and BUTTERS should be stored in tightly-sealed containers away from direct light and heat. Some EOs and FOs could be highly flammable, keep away from open flames and from varnished or wood surfaces. Keep all liquids and powders you purchase from Camden-Grey tightly capped and away from the reach of children, the elderly or infirm and pets. Refrigerating butters could adversely affect the consistency of a butter, please join our Forum if you need to learn how to handle, work with and store products.
