    Botanical Name: Cinnamomum zeylanicum

    Plant Part: Leaf

    Country of Origin: Sri Lanka

    Method of Extraction: Steam Distillation

Oil distilled from the leaves contains mainly Eugenol (@75%). Leaf oil is in great use commercially in foods, mouth preparations, soaps and toiletries. Warm and spicy aroma; it's a rich, yellow oil which lacks the depth and body of cinnamon bark oil. Used as an insecticide, emmenagogue, antispasmodic, antibacterial, aphrodisiac and antifungal particularly against Candida and Aspergillis. Indicated for tooth care, blends for vaginitis, impotence in men, respiratory blends for the lungs. Eases colds and breathing difficulties. As an inhalation, it is excellent for exhaustion, feelings of depression and weakness. It is a very effective antiseptic, digestive and anti-rheumatic and is regarded as one of the strongest antiseptic oils. Useful for preventing infectious and contagious diseases. Not recommended for skin care. Traditionally used in clearing warts. The leaf oil is relatively non-toxic. Very powerful, should be used with extreme care, could be a skin irritant for certain persons. Blends well with clove, frankincense, ginger, lavender, orange and thyme. Flash point: 200F.

As expected, this one is strong and spicy! I love using it in my cold process soap. A little goes a LONG way! This goes great with orange, clove, and even eucalyptus or peppermint. Just made a goat milk oatmeal soap with cinnamon and clove and it smells like a yummy cookie.

My mom always purchased real cinnamon vs cassia and this is exactly what it smells like. I do cp soaps and this goes great with the 6 fold sweet orange. I give my soaps to clients as Christmas gifts, I'm complimented to know some of them have yet to use their bar of soap a whole year later because they love to keep them just to enjoy the aroma!!! :P
    Good value!

I use this in my homemade toothpaste along with a little clove oil. It tastes great and is good for your teeth. I put it in my laundry to make my clothes smell awesome! A few drops in standing water is supposed to kill mosquito larvae. It didn't work in a 55-gal drum, but haven't tried it in smaller areas yet.
    Stong, comforting aroma

This oil has a strong, comforting scent. I combined a tiny bit with Clove Bud Oil and Sweet Orange, to use in my lotions, soap, and salts, and was immediately reminded of fall.
    Yummy!

This doesn't smell like a cinnamon stick, but certainly has strong earthy cinnamon fragrance. No acceleration or discoloration in CP soap and the fragrance sticks!
    I'm in love.

This oil has a spicy scent with loads of uses. The thing is that you have to be careful and make sure that it's diluted properly in a carier oil befure using it on the skin. I'll be using it in mixes for soaps, cleaning products and a scalp tonic.
Wonderful clean cinnamon scent, high yielding

This has a nice sharp cinnamon scent. It did seize in a CP soap batch but I was also using concentrated apple cider in my recipe so it might have been the combination. Use full water and be prepared to move quickly, just in case. Soap gelled quickly and completely and smells divine. I also used CG almond FO and vanilla lace FO in combination with this essential oil. Smells great!
My Whole Bathroom Smells like Cinnamon!!! :)

    HOW PRODUCTS ARE DISPENSED...

    BOTTLING/PACKAGING:

Essential oils: Are sold only in the quantities/net weights listed on our website. These oils are shipped to us by the distiller or manufacturer in industry-standard metal or plastic containers and that’s how we ship them to you.

Carrier oils and most other liquids are dispensed in individual HDPE plastic pails or containers with some type of handle, each container holds the purchased net weight of liquid.

Soft butters such as Horsetail and Almond are dispensed in plastic HDPE pails w/metal handles; those butters may remain inside the pails indefinitely when properly stored. Hard butters such as Cocoa are dispensed factory-wrapped in plastic and placed inside a box. Castile Gel is dispensed in a self-contained cubitainer with pouring spout.

NOTE: While the packaging methods mentioned above are generalized, we reserve the right to dispense and ship in any available container. If a customer at any time feels more comfortable transferring an essential or carrier oil to glass, this should be done.

Raw materials/ingredients are sold and dispensed by weight. Many customers ask how many ounces are in a pound, there are 16 ounces in one pound. These are not fluid ounces, they are ounces by weight.

HOW TO STORE: EOs, FOs and BUTTERS should be stored in tightly-sealed containers away from direct light and heat. Some EOs and FOs could be highly flammable, keep away from open flames and from varnished or wood surfaces. Keep all liquids and powders you purchase from Camden-Grey tightly capped and away from the reach of children, the elderly or infirm and pets. Refrigerating butters could adversely affect the consistency of a butter, please join our Forum if you need to learn how to handle, work with and store products.
