Helichrysum italicum essential oil
    Helichrysum italicum essential oil
    Purchase Helichrysum italicum essential oil

Botanical Name: Helichrysum italicum G. Don

    Plant Part: Flower

    Country of Origin: Italy

    Method of Extraction: Steam Distillation

VERY IMPORTANT:  When you invest in this beautiful, very expensive essential oil, please make sure your supplier provides a definite country of origin.  Our current stock is from Italy.

We’ve seen sites where they may mention as the country of origin not one but multiple countries, for example, Croatia/France/UK.  Some sites just say ‘Europe’ where there are more than 44 countries. Beware!

This EO offers an intense rich aroma with a herbaceous note. Among its properties are anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antitussive, astringent, diuretic, expectorant, fungicidal and cicatrisant.  It’s said that the French used this oil primarily as an anti-inflammatory to regulate cholesterol, stimulate the cells of the liver and as an antispasmodic.

This particular variety has powerful antibruise properties. It's ideal to use in lymphatic drainage massage, acts as a stimulant for the liver, gall bladder, kidneys and spleen...the organs responsible for detoxifying the body.  Italidone, one of this oil’s chemical components, has been found to have strong mucous thinning, expectorant and cicatrisant properties.  This EO is a rejuvenating oil which promotes cell growth, helping to rebuild tissues. Clears the body of candida apparently, which often thrives when vitality is low.

Blend with rosehip seed oil for a scar formula or with lemon and geranium EOs for a kick-smoking blend.  Many say this EO assists in healing scars, acne, dermatitis, boils and abscesses. Blends well with bergamot, chamomile, geranium, orange and frankincense. Flash point: 124 °F.

I have been wanting this oil for a while but it is usually so expensive, the cost here was so much cheaper, plus I could get smaller quantities so I finally bought it. Right now I'm thinking I should have ordered a bigger bottle.

I have been waiting for this for a long time. I cannot find it anywhere and thanks for CamdenGrey I can find it here. I read it is very good to the skin for rejuvenation so I made the cream with it. I like it already and will keep ordering it in the future.
    Amazingly Theraputic & Beautiful!

I purchased the smallest bottle of this some time ago, sniffed it when it came in and put it to the side. Then this past week, I was having a VERY RAPID heart beat due to indulging in a bit too much caffiene ~ shame on me! So I prayed and asked the Lord what I should do. He guided me as always to the oils and had me use this oil with a few others in a simple blend. The rapid heart beat immediately stopped when the oil was applied. And when I say immediately I mean immediately. This oil is part of the group which are known as being Nervines. Which means that they soothe the nervous system. Our hearts have their own electrical system that runs through them & is part of the nervous system. I just ordered a larger bottle of this oil, because I will be using this on clients from now on who have overactive nervous systems. It's a bit herbaceous out of the bottle but the scent does fade to being a pleasant floral after a few moments. I nor my clients will be without this oil ever again.
    Very happy

I ordered this for an arthritic blend. This is high quality for a fraction of the cost.

Helichrysum italicum is commonly known as Everlasting, Life Everlasting, Immortelle, or Italian Straw Flower. It is especially wonderful in aromatherapy blends for those who have suffered trauma in their childhood. As always, Camden-Grey's version is a gorgeously high quality product that is packaged cleanly. I especially appreciate the fact that the Latin name is on every label so I know exactly what is in each bottle.

I have wanted to try Helichrysum EO for a long time, but always felt it was too expensive for my "experiments". Camden-Grey offers several rare/expensive EO's in small enough quantities that I could afford to sample them. I am THRILLED!!!! I have quite a list of uses for this itty bitty sample...
I echo the last review--so worth it!

My experience of helichrysum's tremendous efficacy as healer was in the application of a helichrysum/yarrow combo in a cream base I made as an experiment. Of course, I was hoping for skin-healing benefits, I just didn't expect it to happen so quickly! Love the aroma as well--strong, deep, herbacious, base. Highly recommended!
    Worth the money!

I am so excited about this oil. The herbaceous scent is light and clean. I purchased it to use in a special skin care oil. As an esthetician, and skin care crafter It is important to me to use healing oils in my products. I love that it is wildcrafted and hope to find more organic, and/or wildcrafted products added to the Camden Grey website.

    HOW PRODUCTS ARE DISPENSED...

    BOTTLING/PACKAGING:

Essential oils: Are sold only in the quantities/net weights listed on our website. These oils are shipped to us by the distiller or manufacturer in industry-standard metal or plastic containers and that’s how we ship them to you.

Carrier oils and most other liquids are dispensed in individual HDPE plastic pails or containers with some type of handle, each container holds the purchased net weight of liquid.

Soft butters such as Horsetail and Almond are dispensed in plastic HDPE pails w/metal handles; those butters may remain inside the pails indefinitely when properly stored. Hard butters such as Cocoa are dispensed factory-wrapped in plastic and placed inside a box. Castile Gel is dispensed in a self-contained cubitainer with pouring spout.

NOTE: While the packaging methods mentioned above are generalized, we reserve the right to dispense and ship in any available container. If a customer at any time feels more comfortable transferring an essential or carrier oil to glass, this should be done.

Raw materials/ingredients are sold and dispensed by weight. Many customers ask how many ounces are in a pound, there are 16 ounces in one pound. These are not fluid ounces, they are ounces by weight.

HOW TO STORE: EOs, FOs and BUTTERS should be stored in tightly-sealed containers away from direct light and heat. Some EOs and FOs could be highly flammable, keep away from open flames and from varnished or wood surfaces. Keep all liquids and powders you purchase from Camden-Grey tightly capped and away from the reach of children, the elderly or infirm and pets. Refrigerating butters could adversely affect the consistency of a butter, please join our Forum if you need to learn how to handle, work with and store products.
