    Botanical Name: Jasminum Grandiflorum

    Plant Part: Flower petals

    Country of Origin: Egypt

    Method of Extraction: Solvent extraction

    Jasmine is the most exquisite of scents; the oil is a deep reddish-brown liquid (sometimes very thick) with a sweet, floral and exotic, slightly heady fragrance. Jeanne Rose describes it as intensely floral and fatty with musk or civet notes and some hay and honey. Called the "king of flower oils" it has always had a reputation as an aphrodisiac and has long been used in perfumery and therapeutically.

    This absolute is indispensable in perfumes and is used in the finest and most well-known perfumes. Wonderful when included in a blend and used as a massage for the pelvic area for a congested pelvis or for any type of menstrual problems. It’s said to be useful to balance women's hormones to create a regular menstrual cycle and, inhaled, it can be a great help for labor pains. It is the most valued oil in childbirth and is used as a massage on the abdomen and lower back in the early stages of labor as it is said to relieve the pain and strengthen the contractions.

    Jasmine is said to be very good for relieving depression (including post-natal), nervous exhaustion and easing stress. Blends well with bergamot, frankincense, rose, orange and sandalwood.

    I purchased this to make my own personal fragrance, and I could not have chosen a better floral for this purpose! This scent is so calming and feminine, and I know that women of all ages will love it. Such a timeless, beautiful scent.

    I absolutely love this absolute. This is so deeply sensual and yummy that I keep a bottle with me just to inhale occasionally. The sambac is more popular among my customers. But, I prefer this one for the deep undertones and less sweetness than the sambac. Makes me want to eat it!!!
    Totally intoxicating- so lovely

    I ordered the smallest bottle only because it is slightly expensive, however I've found Camden's price to be the best and absolute lowest you can find for the quality. I love this oil so much I've just purchased a larger size because I don't want to run out. I am making a luxurious massage oil for a friend and myself for while we are in labor! I love all the descriptions of your oils, Camden. Thanks for the idea!
    EUPHORIC !

    This is the ultimate in euphoric jasmine scents - this grandiflorium is amazing quality at an an amazing price- less than half the price I was spending at other suppliers and comparable quality. I am so happy I found Camden Grey !

    You know, I got this, mistaking it for jasmine sambac. It's a bit too pretty for my tastes, but it's getting 5 stars because the quality is still good. The scent just didn't agree with me, is all. And it does smell exactly like the jasmine growing around my mother's house. I wouldn't call grandiflorum a "fresh" scent. "Fresh," I think of a spring rose, new grass and all kinds of citrus. It's heady, it's a bit cloying for people who don't care for intensely sweet smells and it's the kind of scent that won't leave you alone. :)
    Heavenly!

    I diluted my tiny bottle of this in jojoba oil to a 3% solution(about) and even diluted like that, it is just so beautiful I use it for a simple perfume. Absolutely love it!
    Awesome jasmine scent

    I was not sure how much I liked the smell of jasmine, but this jasmine absolute smells awfully true, and at once I decided I loved it. It reminded me of how the fresh flowers smell even though it's been ages since I've seen or smelled the real flowers. One note: If you're getting a small amount, you'll need a very narrow pipette to get the liquid out. I kept trying to shake out the absolute from the 1/8 oz vial I got, but to no avail until I used a thin glass pipette.

    Thanks for browsing thru this section which contains answers to many questions that are often asked of us. Here we explain where to locate CofA and SDS for a product, how we dispense and package our products, how products should be stored, basic terminology and the wait time for bulk products to ship from our warehouse. FYI: We're closed on Fridays.

    Certificate of Analysis (CofA) and Safety Data Sheet (SDS). We publish on our website those documents for most of our products, some products don't provide either because the product doesn't require it. In this same section where you're at now, look to the tab to the left titled Documents, click on it and that's where you'll find either document for the product you seek. If you do not find the document you require, please email us at customerservice@camdengrey.com so we can research further.

    BULK ITEMS: When a customer adds a bulk item to the cart, the customer’s immediately shown on the screen how many number of days should be allowed for the bulk product to arrive at our warehouse. If the bulk item happens to be in stock, we’ll ship sooner than the customer would expect. As we emerge from Covid, logistics operations are not yet back to normal, what used to arrive at our warehouse in 3 days now takes much longer. Should a vendor inform us the ordered product will take longer than what’s mentioned on our website we’ll email the customer with the latest information.

    TERMINOLOGY:

    EO = essential oil

    FO = fragrance oil

    HOW PRODUCTS ARE DISPENSED...

    BOTTLING/PACKAGING:

    Essential oils: in 1/32 oz. to 1/4 oz...amber glass vials with orifice reducers. ½ oz. to 2 oz...in amber glass bottles with white caps and Eurodroppers...3 to 4 oz. in amber glass bottles with black caps and without orifice reducers...7 oz. in aluminum bottles...15 oz. in amber glass bottles with black caps...10 & 25 lbs. in HDPE plastic containers with wide mouths although, occasionally, 25 lbs. may be dispensed in factory-issued metal containers with pouring spouts.

    28 lbs. of carrier oils and other liquids are dispensed in individual HDPE plastic gallon containers with handles, each holds the purchased net weight of liquid.

    30+ lbs. of carrier oils, other liquids, soft butters, Castile gel and other products are dispensed in plastic HDPE pails w/metal handles & pouring spouts in the lid; those products may remain inside the pails indefinitely when properly stored. After Covid, we reserve the right to use any packaging/dispensing container available to us and not mentioned above because it continues to be difficult many times to restock the same packaging container or material used in the past.

    NOTE: An EO may safely remain inside an aluminum container for up to 3 months, but if storing longer than 3 months the oil should be transferred to amber glass. Fragrances and carrier oils up to 8 lbs. may remain inside HDPE plastic bottles indefinitely. If the customer at any time feels more comfortable transferring a product to glass this should be done. ALL PRODUCTS ARE DISPENSED BY WEIGHT, THUS, SOME CONTAINERS MAY BE FILLED HIGHER THAN OTHERS DEPENDING ON THE WEIGHT AND VISCOSITY OF EACH PRODUCT.

    Raw materials/ingredients are dispensed by weight. Many customers ask how many ounces in a pound, there are 16 ounces in one pound. These are not fluid ounces, they are ounces by weight.

    HOW TO STORE: EOs, FOs and BUTTERS should be stored in tightly-sealed containers away from direct light and heat. Some EOs could be highly flammable, keep away from open flames. Keep all liquids and powders you purchase from Camden-Grey tightly capped and away from the reach of children, the elderly or infirm and pets. Refrigerating butters could adversely affect the consistency of the butter, please join our Forum if you need to learn how to handle, work with and store products.
